Reaching Out

The mission of the Reagan Project Inc. is to provide community food outreach in memory and honor of our son and brother, Reagan Allen.  We provide food to the underserved population of children 5 years old and younger. Our current goal is to provide pantry staple food to be distributed by Kids Meals, Inc..

Our Vision

For the next five years, The Reagan Project, Inc. will continue expanding our food outreach to meet the expanding needs of Kids Meals, Inc. These food outreach programs will include, but not limited to, supplying and packing family food bags, cereal drives, peanut butter and jelly drives, coordinating volunteer projects, and meeting other needs that may come up.

What We Believe

We believe food insecurity is unacceptable in this country, especially children. The Reagan Project, Inc. will continue to expand our food outreach to help meet the growing needs partnering with Kids Meals, Inc. for distribution.

According to the 2020 Census Harris County has 775,907 families living under the federal poverty level with 316,986 being children under 5 years old. Montgomery County has 55,281 families living under the federal poverty level with 38,467 being children under 5 years old. The American Community Survey has estimated the combined number of children under 5 years old and living below the poverty level has exceed 60,000.

The Reagan Project 2024 was a tremendous success. We filled 3,600 family food bags and Kids Meals, Inc has already started distributing the family food bags to the food insecure families. We would like to thank HEB, CyFair Fire Department, Bridgeland High School students, our volunteers and supporters. Without all of you we could not help those that truly need our help.

A special thanks to Lou and Kelly Barry, for stepping in to lead The Reagan Project 2024, Patty James with HEB, for coordinating the food and arranging for the HEB truck to deliver the food, Ray, the HEB driver, who drove from San Antonio to help us, and John Day, Kids Meals, Inc., Operations Manager.

We ask for your continued support as we fight childhood hunger in Harris and Montgomery Counties.
