Reagan Project History

We truly believe God has laid this path before us and in addition to helping others we feel that our talking about Reagan’s suicide might just save one life.

We started the first anniversary of Reagan’s death with an annual event called the Reagan Project. Starting in 2015 the Reagan Project has reached out to the community by:

January 8, 2015 - Donated $600.00 of Starbuck’s gift cards to HIV/AIDS ministry

January 8, 2016 – Delivered 150 sack dinners delivered to the homeless camps

January 8, 2017 - Delivered 200 hot jambalaya dinner to the homeless camps

January 8, 2018 - Distributed 400 breakfast tacos and bottles of water to the VA Hospital

January 8, 2019 – Distributed 261 family food bags, representing 21,672 individual meals

June 7, 2019 – Distributed 400 breakfast tacos and bottles of water to the VA Hospital

January 8, 2020 — Distributed 500 family food bags, representing 42,000 individual meals

January 8, 2021 — Due to the Covid virus donated over $17,000 and 160 boxes of cereal

January 8, 2022 — Again due to the Covid virus donated over $16,000

Summer 2022 - Sent two money wires to the Rev. Dr. Ivan Rsyn, President of Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary in Kiev, Ukraine.

July 9, 2022 — Donated $3,000.00 in jars of peanut butter and $60 in jars of jelly for the lunches.

January 8, 2023 — Donated 3,399 family food bags

June 5, 2023 — Donated 1,500 boxes of cereal, 100 - 3 pound jars of peanut butter, 100 - 30 ounce jars of jelly, and 120 - 1.875 pounds of raisins.

January 8, 2024 - Donated 4,200 family food bags.

The national average for nonprofits is 35% of the dollars donated goes to overhead and salaries cost. This means only 65% goes to programs. According to a recent study by Microsoft this 35% for overhead and salaries cost totals over $3,000,000,000.00 annually in non-program dollars. Kids Meals, Inc. operates on only 10% overhead and salary cost, however, the Reagan Project, Inc. operates on 0% overhead and salary cost. All donations go to our projects.
